With some 3,500 staff, Malév carried over 3.2 million passengers in 2007.
Among the accolades it has received for the quality of its services, it has been voted Airline of the Year for 2006 and 2007 by travel agents, business people and other travellers in a poll by Hungary’s Az Utazó (The Traveller) magazine. It was Europe’s most punctual airline for arrivals in the first quarter of 2008, according to the Association of European Airlines.
Network
Malév serves around 50 destinations in 37 countries, mainly in Europe, including oneworld hubs Helsinki, London Gatwick and Madrid. Malév schedule network offers good opportunities for transfer between cities in Eastern-Europe and the Middle-East as well as between those in Western-Europe and North-America. It is a high priority issue for Malév to provide a rapid and comfortable transit for passengers transferring through Budapest.
